IBM – FLASH STORAGE 2017

The first edition of the IBM’s event, Flash Storage 2017, took place in the museum of Alfa Romeo, the famous Italian car manufacturer. The location, where past, present and future of the car brand is discussed, turned out to be perfect for the topic of the event hosted by IBM.

The concept of the project is the plenary room, organized in a form of a theatre. Rows of seats are facing the stage with a great full-length screen projecting the presentations of speakers. On the both sides in between the sitting area and the stage there are installed additional screens which assist creating the 3-dimensional effect of the presentations.

The layout has been thought to create the feeling of real theatre in the audience. For this reason it was chosen to elevate the height of the screens to the ceiling level. The motto of the presentation was also made in 3d letters: “IBM Flash Storage”. It was decided to adorn the scenography of the event with two models of Alfa Romeo cars, one old-vintage and a modern one, both positioned on the sides to symbolise the future-oriented goals of IBM.
