As per the wishes of the client, the final objective of this project was to take an old apartment and transform it into a stylish and elegant holiday house. The main design work done is the restyling of all the different spaces in terms of furnishing, materials and color finishes, integrating as best as possible some of the original elements of value already present in the apartment – the wooden parquet, the elegant door frames, some furniture pieces, etc.
The apartment can welcome up to six people with its master bedroom, double bedroom and transformable couch; there are two large renovated bathrooms and a kitchen that can be used as a dining space. The main master bedroom, painted in warm sandy colors, has its own private luxurious bathroom decorated with small golden accents in the tiling, referencing the warmth of the bedroom. The other bedroom with two single beds has a younger, quirkier vibe, painted in a fresh blue color that matches well with the bathroom in the corridor. For what concerns the living spaces, the kitchen’s overall atmosphere has been lightened by the repainting of the tiles in white and the redesign of the cooking counter. The soft grey color in the living room and corridor contrasts gently and elegantly the classic white frames of the doors and windows.
