35W2 COMPETITION – SLOW WOOD

The concept of the project was based on the relationship between line and furniture, and space and objects that can mutually transform each other to create a unified and flexible space. A single line varies into different elements, and thus becomes the character of every space and a physical decor element. The relationship between the single objects and the system as a whole is highlighted by the use of two different essences of wood. Marblewood defines everything that is a line as its fibres have a clear preferential direction. Purpleheart is used in all the parts of the line that deviate into the actual furniture. The kitchen area is conceived as a very discreet space that daily hosts elements that disappear and transform that make it a very flexible space.
